Hardcover first published in Great Britain by Michael Joseph, 1979. The jacket is whole, with some wear and rubbing to edges and folds, and is protected in a Brodart sleeve. The blue boards have four short tape marks, two each on either side, and there is a prominent crease the length of the spine, that is cocked. There is some light shelf soil to the top external page edges. Internally there are two pen signatures and dates on the inside front board and opposite end-paper, and the remnants of pencil notes, but the pages are otherwise clean and unmarked.
