Material & Finish
High-quality earthenware with hand-engraved transferware decoration in permanent colours. The transferware appears almost black or very dark brown depending on light reflection.
Backstamp
Typically marked: The Hunter by Myott, Hand Engraved Permanent Colours , Made in England on the reverse of plates and pieces.
Production Era
Mid-20th century, mainly 1950s1980s
Condition
Preowned. The set shows definite grazing, especially on the inside of the cups and the underside of most items. Grazing is not detectable with fingernails.
