The jacket is worn and creased, with several chips and short tears to the edges. The brown cloth boards with gilt titling and stamped outline of the Generaal Botha are square and sharp, and the pages are clean and unmarked. Accompanying this book are a letter to the editor of Suid-Afrikaanse Panorama dated 19 Maarch 1975 on Generaal Botha stationery, confirming that staff of Suid-Afrikaanse Panorama are welcome to the ship for purposes of an article, an original copy of the South African Merchant Navy Academy "General Botha" Programme of Courses 1975, and 11 black and white photographs, 255 x 200mm, 5 pairs of which are duplicates.
