These are the two whitest/colourless colour grades on the diamond colour grading scale. Colour D is the highest grade possible, being perfectly colourless. Excellent colour for use in expensive jewellery settings. For investment purposes these particular colours have a proven track record, optimized even further by the desireable VVS clarity grade.
Clarity grade (under 10x magnification): VVS
Clarities are graded far more strictly in diamonds than in any other gem type. In a diamond a 'VS'' type inclusion is never visible to the naked eye. Only under 10X magnification will the trained-eye be able to detect a VS inclusion, whereas the average untrained eye might look through a 10x jeweller's loupe for hours without spotting this insignificant, very small type of inclusion). 'VS' clarity stones are of Top Jewellery Grade and are normally only set into fine jewellery. For investment purposes 'VVS' is an even better choice. VVS is on the verge of being flawless.
