Beautiful watercoulor painting signed by artist Jan Spies 37x26 (excl frame) dated 1953. I suspect the artist is TV personality and author Jan (Johannes Petrus Spies) who was born and lived in Namibia. If you look at the way in which he forms the S in spies you can see the P for Petrus. His work was clearly influenced by Adolf Jentch also from Namibia.
