This Namiki / Pilot Fountain pen is of the 'Vanishing Point' series. I have been informed that it was produced in about 1980, but I have not confirmed this.
The name Vanishing Point comes from the fact that pressing the back of the pen the nib comes out of an orifice at the other end. When it is retracted a cover closes the opening.
On the nib it has the words 'NAMIKI, 14K585,
This manufacturer is well written up on the web, and their product is well respected. They are a Japanese company.
I do not have the box in which this would have been received originally. If you are a collector of pens, this is one of the scarcer ones.
Length 138mm, diameter 10mm, weight 17 grams. The color is Dark reddish brown. The body oft he pen is not round but has 18 narrow facets all running the length of the pen.
