a) Natal L.S.& G.C. Medal (Rare) Gaoler.J .H. Deister. Natal Police.

He was entitled to the BSA Co medal - QSA - Natal 1906 - WW1 Medals.

He attested to Border Police Force / West Riding Regt 1893 . - Rhodesia Pioneer. - Attested to Natal Police 1897.- WW1 6th SAI. (Wounded)

b) WW1 Victory. Sjt.J.H.Deister. 6th S.A.I.

b) Joseph Henry Deister - Pioneer Scroll signed by the Governor V.D.Kennedy. (Extremely rare)

d) Freedom of the City of Bulawayo. 8th November 1950

e) Very large file, including a photo of his grave and a newspaper cutting of his death plus photos of pioneers and their wives at the Royal Garden Party. There are numerous invitation cards to various important events.

'Dixster  J H          2029       Goaler  Joined: 15 Nov 1897 and served 11 years 211 days. Total service 18 years 264 days. Date awarded the Natal LS&GC Medal: Unknown. Also served West Riding Regiment, 19 Oct 90 to 11 Nov 97, totalling 7 years 53 days'
