NATURAL AMETHYST CLUSTER (1,629 ct) RING
9ct GOLD
 
This is a ring that manages to be both very modern and rather feminine. The ring is set with 16 x round cut amethyst gemstones. They total 1,629 carats. The ring itself is 9 carat yellow gold ring. The gemstones have been set into  a beautiful gold claw setting. The ring head is quite large - 19mm up the finger and 11mm across and has been crafted into a diamond shape. The stones are a very soft purple/pink in colour, reminiscent of rose quartz. The effect is a beautiful and distinctly feminine piece of jewellery. The 9 carat yellow gold band separates into two strands as it reaches the crown to further accent the ring head design. The ring head sits 4 mm high above the finger. The ring comes in the quality box shown in the photographs. This ring bears the hallmarks for 9ct gold ( 375 ), Birmingham Assay, the jeweller's signature and the date-mark for 2005. There is a gemologist certificate of authenticity that accompanies the ring.

Amethyst is a birthstone for those born in February. This gemstone is believed to guard the wearer from all types of harm and is recognised as a particularly soothing stone.
