STUNNING STERLING SILVER TURQUOISE AND SODALITE NECKLACE. 925. HEAVY! BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED 

This striking 48 cm necklace is a real conversation piece! Turquoise is bezel set in a sterling silver frames with twisted rope detail, alternating with rectangular cut sodalite in a matching setting, separated by openwork circles in sterling silver in a matching twisted rope design. The focal point is the only square sodalite which dangles by virtue of the closure which is a toggle close. Toggle-close chains - both in necklaces and bracelets - are enjoying something of a come-back. To be quite clear - the toggle, and therefore the closure, is in the front of the necklace. The colour combination is stunning! The bright blue turquoise contrasting with the dark blue sodalite with its mysterious, marbled, 3-D effect, linked by the shiny sterling silver. The piece is a heavy 37,56 grams. Because of its weight and the way the links are fitted together, it hangs particularly well on the neck, lying flat and snug. It is not long (48cm) so it sits on the collar bones and nestles in the throat area. The necklace is in excellent condition and bears the '925' hallmark indicating sterling silver. I have had the piece jeweller tested and authenticated and it comes with a little gem certificate of origin. The sodalite gemstones were mined in Brazil and the turquoise is China mined. It is a most unusual piece, well crafted, heavy and bold - and all natural gemstones!
