Opal will always be one of the most popular of all precious gemstones in jewellery and right now it is enjoying a fashion high in England and Europe. This gorgeous ring features five large marquise faceted natural opals with a total of 1,25 carats. They are set in yellow 9 carat gold (hallmarked 375 along with the British signs for real gold). The luminescence of the opals is clear in the photographs, particularly when I turned the ring into the sunlight. Other hallmarks include the jewellers mark and the Sheffield Assay office. Its a gorgeous piece of vintage England!
