Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C Powder)

  • ascorbic acid
  • 99.7% purity
  • Can improve appearance of skin
  • pH: 2.4

Freely soluble in water.

    • 1/4 tsp = 1g or 1000mg Vitamin C dose

Pure Ascorbic acid

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT BUFFERED VITAMIN C

Buffered Vitamin C

Ascorbic acid has an acidic pH of 2 (a pH of 7 is neutral). Buffered Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) is pH neutral (7) and therefore less acidic and more gentle on your stomach. We recommend that you buffer your pure Ascorbic acid as it is more gentle on the stomach.

How to make your own fresh Buffered Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate):

Combine Ascorbic Acid with Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) at the ratio of 2:1 (2 parts Ascorbic Acid to 1 part Sodium Bicarbonate) and mix with 100-150ml water (at room temperature to dissolve easily) or fruit juice, stir and drink.
Note: Do not use Baking Powder instead of Baking Soda because it is not the same.
