ND¿3®x50 - Long Distance Laser Designator - The Ultimate Alternative to Night Vision for Law Enforcement or Military.

The ND-3® x50 Laser Designator is the latest precision optical lighting instrument from Laser Genetics using advanced green laser technology. It is equipped with a 50mm lens and the strongest laser that we have ever manufactured for this application. The patented Rotary Optical Collimator allows full easy adjustment and control of the beam diameter and intensity to focus light where you need it most. Rotating the collimator provides a range of illumination, enough to light a trail or pursue a target in close quarters at night or paint a target up to 500 yards*!

If you are spending most of your time in warmer climates of 40° F. and above, then we recommend using the ND-3® x50, ND-5® Laser Illuminator or one of the other standard ND-3® Series laser designators. However for most extreme and cold temperatures of 40° F. and below, we recommend using the ND-3 x50 Subzero™, or one of the other Subzero™ models, ND-3® Subzero™ or ND-3® x40 Subzero™ that are specifically designed to dependable and operate in subzero temperatures without loss of intensity or power.

Why Green Laser?

Research has proven that green light is the most visible to the human eye (See Chart) and requires the least amount of eye adjustment at night. An eye that has adapted to daytime conditions generally has a maximum sensitivity around 555nm. Compared to the color red which optical spectrum is around 630 — 650nm our eye is closer to the Green region of the optical spectrum at 510 - 530nm.
