2016 Great Britain one pound coin as per images.Even though this coin bears the date 2016,they were only released for circulation in 2017.The reverse of the coin was designed by 15 year old Walsall schoolboy,David Pearce.From the thousands of submissions the panel chose his entry when he won the public competition with his design combining the traditional floral emblems of the nations of the United Kingdom in a fresh and modern way.

An English rose, Welsh leek, Scottish thistle and Northern Irish shamrock emerging from one stem within a royal coronet, with the minting year as incuse micro-legend around the rim.
