Half-hardy annual or sometimes short-lived perennial. Somewhat course appearance with large slightly sticky, ovate to elliptic basal leaves and stems carrying clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers from midsummer to autumn. Usually white but they may be in various shades from pink to red or greenish. Strongly fragrant, particularly in the evening. There re numerous cultivrs and hybrids.Cultivation:
