Niemoller olive green chest webbing - R1 x 6 mag pouches (used)

Here we have on auction a old SAP or SADF special forces used Niemoller olive green R1 chest webbing in very good used condition (for its age!).

This item was likely used in the bush-war and may have been used by a KOEVOET member (there is a force number inscribbed on the rear which if one could trace would point to the previous owner and hence as well which unit it wa likely from!)

I have seen these (incorrectly) referred to as being pattern 80 chest webbing items before. This item is made form a thin Niemoller olive green nylon as used in many SA SF (Recce) items of kit. Typical un-coated metal ladder-lock fittings used and olive green nylon webbing.

Not too many of these around, a scarce item!

Dayglo panel incorporated into the rear of the vest for emergency ground-to-air signalling (saves weight and less loose kit to carry) - clever practical idea. The dayglo used is very similar to the type used in the KOEVOET SWAPOL bush-hats during the SWA/ Angola bushwar and is not the later nylon type (it is more a type of woven material/ cloth).
