"Nights in Rodanthe" is a romance novel by Nicholas Sparks, published in 2002. The story is set in the small coastal village of Rodanthe, North Carolina, and follows the lives of two characters, Adrienne Willis and Dr. Paul Flanner.

Adrienne is a middle-aged woman who is dealing with personal struggles, including a failing marriage and the recent loss of her father. Dr. Paul Flanner is a surgeon who is haunted by a tragic mistake he made in the operating room. The two meet when Adrienne agrees to look after a bed and breakfast owned by a friend, where Paul is the only guest.

As Adrienne and Paul spend time together during a weekend storm, they form a deep emotional connection and find solace in each other's company. They share their personal stories and begin to heal the wounds of their pasts, discovering the possibility of a second chance at love.

"Nights in Rodanthe" is known for its heartfelt storytelling, poignant themes of love and redemption, and its evocative portrayal of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The novel explores the power of love to heal and transform, even in the face of life's greatest challenges.

In addition to the novel, "Nights in Rodanthe" was adapted into a film starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane in 2008, further cementing its popularity among fans of romance literature.
