And the carbon-fibre Flyplate and ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole combine to give you race-day speed. The result is a more fine-tuned racing shoe that's trusted from the mile to the marathon.
What's new about the Vaporfly 4?: We took a racing-car approach when updating the Vaporfly 4, making minor tweaks so you can enjoy major gains. We trimmed inessential weight in the upper, midsole and outsole without sacrificing performance.
The full-length carbon-fibre Flyplate has a higher angle than the Vaporfly 3 and is combined with a lower heel-to-toe drop to give you a propulsive feel on race day.
Lighter foam: Nike ZoomX, our most responsive foam, just got lighter.
Running from heel to toe, it unlocks even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel.
Less weight: Engineered mesh on the upper offers improved comfort and provides a disappearing feel on your foot. It helps reduce the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit. And we reduced the size of the heel and tongue, saving you even more weight on your run.
