AN EARLY 1963 NIPPON KOGADU JAPAN 135MM LENS MADE TO FITON THE NIKON F SERIES OF CAMERAS.

The manual-focus lens works great with most Nikon and other cameras, 35mm and digital.
 
A NIKKOR-Q AUTO F = 135MM (FOCAL LENGTH), 1:3,5 (MAXAPERTURE), NIPPON KOGAKU JAPAN LENS, SERIAL NUMBER 769220. This lens was introduced with Nikon's first single lens reflex camera, the Nikon F, in June 1959.

SERIAL NUMBER RANGE IS 520001 - 584394 (LAST KNOWN SERIALNUMBER). ITS PRODUCTION TERMINATED IN JANUARY 1964.

Since 1932 Nikon named its lenses Nikkor. Each lens carries the factory name Nippon Kogaku Japan, in 1970's replaced by Nikon. Furthermore the focal length (135mm) and maximum aperture (1:3,5) is engraved in the filter ring.

SOME LENSES LIKE OURS CARRY AT THE SIDE OF THE LENSBARREL INSCRIPTIONS LIKE LENS MADE IN JAPAN.
OLDER LENSES HAVE AN ADDITIONAL AUTO INSIDE THE FILTERRING, WHICH REFERS TO THE FITTED AUTOMATIC APERTURE.

The "Q" in the name stands for "quadra." The Nikkor Q 135mm optical construction consists of four elements arranged in four groups.

THIS LENS WAS PRODUCED IN 1963. A 135/3.5 Q AUTO NIKKOR LENS WITH FOCUS IN MM -  SERIAL NOS 755466 TO 773554  WAS MANUFACTURED IN 1963. ONLY A RELATIVE SMALL NUMBER (300 000) OF THESE LENSES WERE MANUFACTURED.

 
CONDITION: WAS MY GRANDFATHERS WHO WAS A JOURNALIST FORTHE TRANSVALER AND USED THIS LENS FOR WORK. GOOD OPTICS (FEW DUST PARTICLES).NO LENS CAP.
The aperture (light exposure) ring moves perfectly.
The action of the focus ring itself is smooth.
The lettering painted on the focus and aperture rings is shiny and completely intact.
