Note: This lens is only really suitable for use with Nikon film SLR cameras. It will not meter correctly on most digital bodies because it does not have a CPU to communicate lens data to the body.
Nikkor-O 1:2 F=35mm lens. This is a classic fast, moderately wide Nikon F-mount lens best suited to photojournalism, street photography and landscape photography. This is a sophisticated 8-element lens, which was one of Nikon's top professional lenses in its day.
The lens is fully functional although only in fair cosmetic condition. The aperture ring moves freely, but is slightly stiff between f/2.8 and f/2. The focus ring moves freely but with slight roughness in some places. The stop-down lever functions properly. Some of the paint is wearing thin, especially on the focus ring. The lens has been AI converted exposing some of the bare metal, and without adding a Aperture Direct Readout (ADR) scale. There is some rust on the screws that attach the meter coupling prong. The glass is clear although there is some internal dust that should not affect photography. It comes with a screw-in metal front cap and a plastic rear cap. Since cosmetic condition is subjective, please judge for yourself from the detailed pictures, which are of the actual item for sale.
