The Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED Lens is a versatile and ultra-compact telephoto zoom lens that offers a 3.6x zoom range, ideal for portraiture, sports or wildlife, and is designed exclusively for Nikon DX format SLRs. When mounted to a DX-format camera, it offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 82.5-300mm. Also, this G-type NIKKOR lens is designed with no aperture rings, and offers easier, virtually mistake-free operation, because the aperture does not need to be set to minimum. 

The Nikon Super Integrated Coating and two ED glass elements used in this lens minimizes ghosting and flare to provide even higher contrast and more vivid images, even in challenging light conditions. Equipped with a Silent Wave Motor AF system it is fast and silent during use and it has an Auto-Manual mode for smooth manual focus use. Additionally, it will focus as close as 3.1', has a 52mm front filter thread, and features a 9-blade rounded diaphragm for smooth out-of-focus elements.
