ITEM DESCRIPTION:

Compact and lightweight
As an AF-D Nikkor lens, the AF Zoom Nikkor 38-70mm f/4.0~5.6D offers wide system compatibility for the new and old Nikon, even for previous MF Nikon users.
2.28X zoom ratio with moderate wideangle of 35mm to short telephoto 80mm.
Aspherical lens element was used to minimize aberrations for optimizing optical performance.
Closest focusing distance is 0.5m with close focus (MACRO) which extends down to 0.35m.
As a D-type AF Nikkor lens, it transmits distance information to the Nikon AF SLR cameras for enhanced exposure calculations and flash control
