The glass is clear,haze and fungus free but has some cleaning marks on front element(these have no effect on image quality)

The body of the lens has some paint wear but no dings/dents or damage

It has a behind the lens filter system(no filters) and a extendable rear for close focus

There is also a bayonet mount metal lens hood

This lens will work as a 600mm on DX Nikon DSLR's

Your metering will be limited on entry level Nikon's(D40,D60,D3000/3100 and D5000/5100

On other bodies,D90 and above it will work perfectly in Manual mode with manual focus
