The Nintendo Switch Lite is designed specifically for handheld play-so you can jump into your favourite games wherever you happen to be.
ITS EASY TO TAKE YOUR FAVOURITE GAMES WITH YOU
Nintendo Switch Lite supports all Nintendo Switch software that can be played in handheld mode. As a dedicated handheld gaming device, Nintendo Switch Lite does not support output to a TV.
If a game supports Joy-Con functions such as HD rumble, IR Motion Camera and Joy-Con motion sensors, some features will not be available using Nintendo Switch Lite alone. Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) are required to use these features.
For games that do not support handheld mode, players can wirelessly connect compatible controllers (sold separately) to Nintendo Switch Lite. If using separate Joy-Con controllers, users will need to have a device to recharge them, such as the Joy-Con Charging Grip.
To find play mode compatibility information for specific games, just look for the handheld mode icon on the back of the packaging.
KNOW WHAT THE KIDS ARE PLAYING
As a parent, its not always easy to keep an eye on your childrens time spent with entertainment devices. The Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app is a free smart device app which you can link with Nintendo Switch to easily monitor what and how your children are playing. With the app, you can easily monitor what your child is playing and for how long, set time limits for play, or even restrict your childs access to only play age-appropriate games. If you do not have a smart device you can also set certain restrictions on your Nintendo Switch directly.
