WALTER GLAS: One of Germany's oldest glassmakers, Walther Glass, also known as Walther-Glas, was renowned for its brilliantly-clear Bohemian crystal glass. Enjoying a heritage of more than 150 years, Walther Glass is recognized today among collectors as one of the best antique crystal makers.
Walther Glas was founded in 1865 in Saxony, Germany. In 1950 the company was expropriated. Production began again in Siebenstern, Germany, in 1951. Walther Glas still produces glassware today, under the management of Volker Walther.
