Painting/picture on the stamps are from the year 1268 and the place " Schutz fremder Kaufleuter " and

                                                               year 1160 and the place " Leipzig erholt Marktrecht " respectively

 as indicated on the stamps 

A bit of history

After the second world war, fair came also the Leipzig residents first of all for succumbing.  The slow new beginning in the postwar years had originally only the character of small trade.  On the 8 May 1946, fair began the first Leipzig residents after the end of the war, that was named by the organizers peace fair.  One wanted to demonstrate normality and achievement power.  Also West German issuers were represented.  In the subsequent years, fair developed the Leipzig residents gradually to an important center in the east-west-trade.
