This being a flagship Nokia, a 5-megapixel camera is mounted on the rear, complete with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus and a xenon flash, making the N82 a genuine alternative to a point-and-shoot digital camera. Inside one gets Assisted GPS complete with Nokia Maps, HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and of course, a music and video player. Media taken with the N82 can be displayed on a compatible TV via a home network too.
The Nokia N82 comes with a 2GB MicroSD card for storage, which although hot-swappable, seems a little small considering its rivals, especially as the phone is all set up to take advantage of Nokia’s new N-Gage games system due to launch soon. This aside, Nokia seem to have thought of everything with the N82, to the point of repeating the N95’s triumph of featuring a 3.5mm jack plug so we can use our own headphones!
