Offered for sale is a striking and highly decorative Bambara wall mask from Mali /North Africa. This is a hand carved wooden mask with an anthropomorphic/iconography and   styling combining human and antelope features. The mask is carved from wood and clad in hand hammered brass sheet metal with traces of fabric tufting in a carmine/burgundy red. The sides of the mask have four  pierced holes for attaching the mask to a human face.This is a vintage /antique item purchased from the reputable Totem Meneghelli Gallery in Johannesburg in the 1980's. 

Courier delivery is  approximately R100 for major centres. Alternatively collection is welcome from Emmerantia Jhb.
