This North Face Aerohead is rated as a 4-season tent and therefore supposed to be great in all types of weather. Sleeps 2 people with room for gear in the tent side pockets, there are pockets on both sides, or under the vestibule in front of the main opening. It weighs 3200 gm.
The tent has a generously big front opening and a smaller rear window. When open they allow plenty of circulation. Both have no-see-um and zip-up waterproof flaps. The fly sheet keeps rain out anyway, so in light rain you can have both open and enjoy fresh air comfort.
The tent is in good condition with many years of life ahead. To be more specific:
1) Tent body 100%
2) Sewn on tabs, straps, grommets etc on tent body and fly sheet 100%
3) Zips are big stainless steel and working perfectly. No-see-um OK.
4) Poles 100%
5) Fly sheet has 2 small and one large patch neatly done and do not affect its functionality.
There are four poles. Two support the top of the tent (and are specially shaped for this), and two straight poles which support the sides along the main diagonals. Included are spare poles: two spares of the former and one spare of the latter.
What I don't know about this tent:
1) My camping has been in summer in drier parts of USA and RSA. Although it was ok in light rain I don't know how it would perform in really wet conditions, or very cold days. One thing is that the seams on the fly sheet and groundsheet needed waterproofing. You will need to redo this sometime.
2) I camp alone and find the tent comfortably spacious with generous storage space. I don't know what it is like with two people.
Below are photographs.
Figure 1 shows the tent floor (groundsheet) with dimensions.
Figure 2 is the tent body erected. Note the big front opening/window is a real blessing.
Figure 3 shows the poles are some distance from the tent body. This means that when the fly sheet is attached there is a huge insulating air space all around you keeping you comfortable.
Figures 4 and 5 shows the tent fully erected with fly sheet in position.
Figure 6 shows that there are no broken, threadbare, loose etc parts on this tent. Everything is tight and well attached.
I am selling the tent for one reason - need money.
