1995 750 ML SIMONSVLEI (SPECIALLY BOTTLED FOR LOFTUS CELLARS) RIESLING WINE:
The sponsors of Northern Transvaal Rugby, (Nashua) had a function for Northern Transvaal Rugby, which the players attended. Amongst others the South African Rugby Union player of the year in 1995, Ruben Kruger (The Silent Assassin"). This bottle was gifted to me in 1996. The bottle of wine was also signed by Ruben, during the function. This bottle was specially bottled for the event by Simonsvlei winery (for Loftus Cellars) and is still sealed with a cork in place and not a screw type cap or stopper. This legend of rugby also participated in The Rugby World Cup in 1995 and in 1999, and had some good performances. He represented the Springboks from 1993 to 1999, in 36 test matches for S.A as well as 20 tour matches. As we now Ruben Kruger passed away in January 2010 due to a brain tumor, aged 39. What a great player (flanker) of the game he was. Maybe gone, but not always forgotten. In this case it is not about the wine, but what is represented by the wine. In my opinion, a collectable item and not to be consumed due to age and storage conditions.

1990 340 ML CAPTAINS LAGER BEER:
This can of beer was also a special edition celebrating all the previous captains of Northern Transvaal Rugby from 1938 to 1990. Again gifted to me by a friend in 1991.The names of all previous captains are printed on the can as a roll of honour. As can be seen, it was distributed as a special limited edition. The can is sealed in its original state, still containing the beer. The can is a bit faded due to age and storage over the years, but all the printing is still very much readable, and again I would not suggest the contents is consumed due to age and storage conditions. This is about the history behind the can of beer, rather than the content. It is a very special piece of memorabilia.
1995 NORTHERN TRANSVAAL BEER MUG:
The mug can contain 750ml of beer when filled to the brim. The mug is in a very nice condition and has no cracks or chips in it. It is labelled with the red Baberton Daisy, the Northern Transvaal rugby emblem up to 1997, when the team was renamed to the The Bulls, on the one side.
BLUE BULLS MASCOTS:
The 1 mascot (without the rugby ball) is battery operated (4xAA batteries-included- which must be fitted underneath the shoes- two in each shoe). There is an on/off switch under the right shoe and a start/stop press button in the left hand to start/stop sing and dance. The mascot sings a short version of "Die Blou Bul eet nie van die vloer af nie" sung by Steve Hofmeyr, which was released in 2006.This item is in a very good condition, clothing not torn or otherwise damaged. The mascot is 49cm in height when standing. If a buyer would be interested I can send short video clips to a wattsapp number, to indicate that it is in a good working condition, because video clips can't be added on the listing.
The other mascot is a normal mascot, dressed in Blue Bulls outfit, holding a rugby ball above the head. The clothing and mascot is in perfect condition and nothing is torn or tarnished. The mascot is also approximately 49cm in height when standing.
