A VINTAGE PEWTER CAKE LIFTER FROM H.S. (HARDANGER SYLVPLETT), A FAMOUS NORWEGIAN MANUFACTURER OF UTENSILS SINCE 1958. THE SPOON IS FROM THE KONGE TINN ROYAL PEWTER SERIES (KONGE MEANS KING IN NORWEGIAN), DEPICTING KING OLAV, WHO WAS SAINTED, WITH HIS BOW AND ARROW, AND HIS MEN. ALSO DEPICTED IS OLAV ON HIS VIKING SHIP.
SCANDINAVIAN PEWTER HAS BEEN MADE SINCE ROMAN TIMES. THIS CAKE LIFTER HANDLE FOLLOWS TRADITIONAL NORDIC DECORATION DESIGNS. MARKED AS NORWEGIAN KONGE PEWTER AND WITH THE INITIALS 'HS' FOR THE MANUFACTURER HARDANGER SYLVPLETT.
