Description

Robert Eggers writes and directs this gothic horror remake based on the 1922 silent film inspired by Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'. When Ellen (Lily-Rose Depp), a lonely girl, prays for relief from her loneliness, her prayers are answered, but not in the way she had hoped. Visited by a malevolent entity which proceeds to attack her, Ellen is left reeling from her ordeal.

Years later, Ellen's husband, property agent Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult), is preparing to sell abandoned mansion Schloss Grünewald to recluse Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård). As Ellen grows suspicious of the Count, she is plagued by visions that quickly turn into reality.
