Nice rifle, lengthy, w/ a two-piece assembly stock wherein the second / shorter air reservoir is concealed. This rifle has an overpressure relief valve, likewise fitted w/ a burst disc that will expire before any critical pressure damage can occur to your air reservoirs. We think these are two good safety backstops, necessary as well, for a 300 BAR PCP gun.
(For those interested in our in-house power test of this rifle, on factory power setting (how we got it out of the box), then please have a look at the video in the gallery lineup (Gallery item #2).. We managed 65 J w/ JSB .249 33.49gr KO slugs across a 10 shot string. If you really wanted to, you could hike that figure up to 68 J if you fiddle w/ the hammer spring tension).. This is for the Behemoth, but the LEVIATHAN performs basically the same, just in traditional rifle configuration and a 180cc air reservoir.
The LEVIATHAN is an excellent gun, showcasing a strong affinity for slug ammunition by many YouTuber reviewers. The accuracy is excellent, scoring tight groupings out to 50 meters, even moreso using the TACTICA SILENCER ADAPTER & SHROUD FOR NOVA VISTA. Thereupon you can chuck an aftermarket air rifle silencer of your choice and shoot quietly. It can be therapeutic to hear your shots knock the target @ 50 meters, w/out the muzzle noise blaring it out.
Whilst there has been customers that came back and showed us some rather large fanged - and tusked - trophies, using the .22 cal variant of this rifle, this new calibre is sure to open up NEW VISTAs for hunting.. .25 PCP calibre isn't as thirsty as .30 cal, provides you with a beefy magazine capacity still, you get alot of pellets per tin still (so the Rand per shot is still reasonable) and you'll have enough power to deal with just about any small game.
Now for the feature rundown;
Regulator (From 100 BAR ~ 200 BAR of pressure.) - You can only adjust UP when the rifle is filled up. If you try to adjust downward, you'll likely damage the regulator and/or seals attached to it) The higher your regulator pressure, the higher your consistent muzzle velocity, but the higher your air consumption / the lower your amount of regulated shots
Externally adjustable hammer spring - This is accomplished by means of an M3 allen wrench. Rotating the screw head at the back, under the rifle action, inward, increases muzzle velocity. Rotating it the other way, decreases muzzle velocity. Just note that the manufacturer indicates that, possibly after about 500 shots, the hammer spring will break in and you will lose 50 FPS. This can be compensated for by either tightening down the spring, or adding an M3 stainless steel nut as a shim in behind the spring, to rejuvenate your muzzle velocity.
Easy accessable bleeder screw - Just chuck an allen wrench in and you can bleed out the entire air reservoir. Comes in handy if you nneed to tune your regulator pressure up or would just like to disassemble your rifle for repairs (maintenance) / modifications / inspection.
Integrated filling probe - Just thread off the end cap on the nose-end of the air reservoir, as shown in the gallery lineup, then you can refill your air rifle. No need to keep a filling probe lying around / losing it. If damaged, you should be able to replace it w/ a standard non-return 1/8" BSP male Q/C fitting.
Generous 280cc air reservoir capacity - As per the illustration, you might've noticed the three air reservoirs, that is reminescent of the SUMATRA 2500. The added capacity on the .25 model of course, is to compensate for the heightened thirst that big bore rifles are known for. In this way, you can get your 60 J shots off, and still enjoy about 70 of them, before you need to top your rifle up.
Vertically adjustable buttplate - The buttplate can be adjusted tool-free up and down to suit your ergonomy, merely by pulling it out, positioning it where it would suit your shooting stance best, then releasing it into the closest locking position. The buttplate is concave, being pyramidically checkered for better shoulder traction.
Picatinny rail set on fore of stock - Here you have a triple set of Picatinny rail, two of which are perpendicular to the under-stock one. This allows you to easily mount flashlights, laser pointers and bipods w/out needing to purchase any aftermarket upgrades / attachments.
Side cocking lever - Nothing beats simplicity of chambering, and the BEHEMOTH offers this. No laggy feel on the lever when hinging it out, no overt stiff feeling as you max out its arc of motion. The rifle has a lengthy vertical bar as well, affixed to the cocking lever, which assists in ease of cocking, even if the lever is seated rearwardly in an otherwise awkward position, with respect to its distance to one's shoulder.
Integrated stock slots for 2x spare multishot magazines - This is some more tacticool added to the rifle, which speeds up reload times, keeping your magazines out of your pockets, where your keys and wallet could otherwise hinder you from quickly withdrawing a consecutive magazine.
Dedicated hybrid Picatinny / Dovetail rail - This is nifty, as you can now use a single-piece mount ring base to affix your scope to your rifle. Moreover, you have the freedom to chuck it anywhere on the rail, w/out needing to mind your pellet magazine / breech slot.
The rifle features a guage on each side of the receiver - The one that has the green markings up to 300 BAR is your fill guage, the one that has green markings up to 200 BAR, would be your regulator guage. Please don't try to push your regulator pressure beyond 200 BAR and also familiarize yourself in full with the instruction manual prior to changing any settings on the rifle.
