Lettering on spine bright and crisp, intact. Very light rubbing and very light foxing to upper and lower edges. Edges of text block foxed. A couple of isolated spots of foxing on front and rear endpapers, with previous owner name inscription large in black marker on front pastedown. All pages tanned.  Small brown stain to fore-edge of pp. 187-230 which migrates 5mm max. onto some of these pages' margins. Otherwise text block is clean: no inscriptions, no underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. Binding secure, no loose, missing, or torn pages.

Jacket condition: a couple of very superficial scratches--light shelf-rubbing. A couple of isolated spots of foxing on the inside, one or two of which is faintly visible on the outside. Very light rubbing to top edge.
