The story is told about Nyaminyami the River God . He had the body like a snake and the head like a fish. No one knows how big he was for he never showed himself in full display. Very big he is though

The people of the Zambezi Valley were protected by Nyaminyami ,their ancestral spirit (Mudzimu) who fed them from his own meat in times of hunger. The people pledged their allegiance to him by performing ceremonial dances

The walking stick itself is carved from the wood of a Syringa Tree and is represented by the following :-

This item is in good used & secondhand condition and comes with an original Certificate of Authenticity / Purchase that is dated 3 April 1995 and signed by Rainos Tawonameso himself.
Please note a crack approximately 23 cm down from the handle (branch portion of the walking stick). This can be easily repaired.
