OBENDA! and the Sunshine Kids is essentially about the meeting of Namibian and Norwegian culture in which the wonderful pulsating rhythms of Africa intertwine with the soulful melodies of the North in a combination of a capella, instrumental and orchestrated songs that capture both the spirit  and magnificence of the Namibian landscape and its people, together with the mystery of Nordic legend. OBENDA! which means "The Band" in Oshiwambo (one of the 12 main languages of Namibia) is a combination of top musiciansfrom each country, including jackson Kaujeaua from Namibia and Bjorn Eidsvag from Norway. The Sunshine Kids are a Setswana youth group from Epukiro RC, a remote village in eastern Namibia.
