Ocean Max-Kalahari Light Gravel 6mm

Kalahari Light Gravel 6mm This substrate is intended as a natural aquarium bottom layer and should be rinsed thoroughly before use. The manufacturer recommends a depth of about 310 cm. 

Why people choose the 6 mm version

• Easier to clean than very fine sand
• Better water movement through the substrate
• Less compacting
• Natural earthy appearance
• Good for medium and large fish tanks
• Helps hide waste better than white gravel

Things to know

Because the gravel is 6 mm:

• it is not as soft as fine sand for corydoras
• small rooted plants may need root tabs or plant soil underneath
• debris can fall between stones more easily than on sand
