This is the first edition first impression published by Jonathan Cape in London in 1966. Bright silver titles to pristine black front board and spine. The leaves are bright and unmarked and the binding is tight. The top edge is lightly dusted and lightly foxed, hence the conservative grading of this first edition as very good. The side edge and bottom edge also show mild evidence of light foxing. The dust jacket is very good: not price clipped and with the original price of 10 s. 6 d. net as required. The dust jacket does show minor signs of edgewear with no loss. There are a few small white rubbed areas on the left side of the back of the dust jacket, which features a photograph of the author Ian Fleming. There are very light rubbed areas on the spine of the dust jacket which are unobtrusive. This is the last James Bond book to be written by him and was first published after his death in 1964. The Living Daylights is the best short story Ian Fleming ever wrote, in the opinion of many. The story formed the plot of the first act of the movie of the same name, released in 1987 and starring Timothy Dalton. This book is now protected in thick transparent plastic, with no tape. DHL Express takes about one week to most places in the world and is tracked.
