Abnormally high levels of oestrogen or oestrogen dominance is now more prevalent than ever. Whether it's from endogenous production (as a result of ovarian dysfunction or obesity) or environmental ingestion of xenoestrogens it has increased the prevalence of fibroadenosis of the breast, fibroids, endometriosis, worsening of pre-menstrual syndrome, worsening of pre-menstrual acne, weight gain, impaired embryo implantation, premature miscarriage and infertility. In men it causes an increase in body percentage fat, gynaecomastia and decreased fertility.
Currently we cannot remove xenoestrogens from the environment (water, air etc xenoestrogens. Fortunately activation of phase II detoxification pathways in the liver helps clear oestrogen. This product decreases aromatase activity and balances oestrogen and progesterone receptors. According to the Mayo Medical labs normal estradiol levels for adult males is 10 40 pg/ml and that for females 0 to 350 µg/ml depending on the time of their menstrual cycle.
