Peter Jander

Peter is one of South Africa's most prominent Impressionist Artists, although he modestly likes to be known just as a "Landscape Painter."

Peter was born in Cape Town in 1954 and was educated at SACS.

He is one of those rare creative masters of the brush and palette who is uniquely capable of capturing the essential differences between light and shade, perspective and texture.

His canvases exude warmth and vibrancy.

He has been significantly influenced by the great Impressionists of the past. However he has taken his version of impressionism onto and entirely new level and in keeping with the 21st Century.

He has been a full time artist since 1980. Since then has held over 160 one man exhibitions as well as collaborate showings with Old Masters such the late Gabriel de Jongh, Errol Boyley and Eric Wale.

He has also held exhibitions in the U.K. He has just returned from a successful exhibition which he had in Portsmouth in the U.K.

In 2007 Peter was the only Artist invited to exhibit at an event which formed part of the S.A Ferrari Owners forty year Celebratory Tour.

His work is sought after by both private and corporate collectors both nationally and internationally.
