An African women in stooped silhouette using her left hand to steady a pot she bears in the traditional African manner and a Stick in her right hand. Wrapped securely to her back is a child and the viewer is left wondering if her burden is the pot she bears or the routine which will never alter.  She is clothed in traditional African Garb with decorative spirals and swirls and her ankles are adorned with cultural bracelets

The white borders of the canvas have Frame marks due to the fact that the item was once framed. These marks will NOT be visible once reframed.  There are small areas where the Blue in the background has rubbed and exposed little white flecks (canvas) but Ive viewed the item on display and the white flecks tend to only make the painting seem older than it actually is. They do not really detract from its Decorative value.    The Canvas is NOT torn anywhere
