After I told my father the story of the Single 9 Pond, He decided that it was necessary to keep the story alive.

The Single 9 coin is as unique as it's story, With the British having captured the 1899 Coin Dies and the British mocking the ZAR, saying we could not even make our own money, President Kruger decided to "Maak n' Plan", the Single 9 coin was born, Official Mintage 1. The coin was then sent off as the answer to their taunts.

Today the Single 9 Pond is in a league of it's own and worth millions. Though the coin has changed hands many times and last I heard was back in SA, The story is essentially An Every South African Story and should be shared and retold.
