Thomas Hacking was born in Lancashire, England in 1932. He won the art competition when he was a young boy in England. In 1950 he emigrated to Africa, He had lived for several years in Rhodesia (today Zimbabwe). From there he moved to South Africa. For a number of years he was living in Pietersburg and later he moved to Johannesburg. He is a well recognize artist of the wild life and the bush field landscapes. He exhibited in South Africa and abroad in the USA, Europe, Australia and Zimbabwe. His hobby is rebuilding the old cars. Grant Hacking one of his san inherited the art talent from father. Like father he likes to express himself in the wild life environment. Grant has emigrated to the USA, where he is a very successful artist. |
