Old Brown Tees is the home of the classic old army brown t-shirt, but with a twist! We have teamed up with the beautiful Carly and military artist Dean Kelly to bring you something that is "Modern but with a Retro Edge". The first range of OBT's is dedicated to the Pin-Up Girls of the 40's that adorned the side panels of the allied bomber fleets during WW2. We have, however, added a modern look in that we have used various elite military units as inspiration for our T-shirts. The first is 'PARA' and the result is simply stunning! Our Tees range in size from M to 3XL. The Tee is a medium to tight fit, so if you are looking for a standard fit, remember to go one size up.
The question was asked: what is the quality of the T-shirts we use? We searched for a supplier who could supply us with a military-style brown tee but, we were not happy as the tees offered did not resemble the old army t-shirts. We then took the step to have these tees manufactured exactly to our specifications with attention being paid to colour, texture and style. The result: a Single Jersey Knit, ribbed crew neck, medium fit, 100% cotton t-shirt. Not only did we successfully recreate the old army tee, we perfected it!
Furthermore, we have used a combination of 'soft' flock and screen printing, bringing you top quality printing on a high quality garment.
DEAN KELLY
Dean Kelly was born on 2 April 1962. He served in the South African Airforce between 1981 and 1982 and was stationed at Eros Airport SWA during South Africa’s Bush War. Dean, a graduate from Natal’s Fine Art Technikon, has been a full time artist for 12 years and converted to Military-themed Art in 2010.
