OLD HY-FLO RECIPROCATING PISTON AQUARIUM AIR PUMP

Very early series 1 pump, working!

Great item for the avid restorer or collector

The pump is in fairly good condition with expected wear to the paint. Will look great restored! Even if you're not into restoring, it will make a great display piece just cleaned and polished up a bit. They are fascinating, well built little machines that will give decades of service with minimal maintenance.

This one is a HY-FLO reciprocating piston model manufactured by Medcalf Brothers in England and operates on normal 200-220VAC.

Since it has the smooth flywheel and the Holtwhite address on the plate, it is from the first series of pumps manufactured.

It is a heavy, solid cast aluminium and steel pump with a stainless steel flywheel, measuring about 19cm x 15cm x 17cm tall to the top of the flywheel.

It is in working order but it is not known if the amount of air it pumps is the correct amount. Expect it to need a service or at least a good cleaning and oiling.

The exact age is unknown, so any input will be appreciated.
