This is a beautiful ornate bowl typical of Eastern  Europe pre 2nd world war. ware.

The  painting of the fruit in the inside  of the bowl is just to beautiful. rich colours the bowl is trimmed with 24crt gold.

This item was given to me by a Jewish Family that fled Nazi Germany , coming to South Africa .

The bowl needed repair, in that the one handle needed replacing , the ceramics and porcelain restorer had to get a permit for the use of the gold trimming, .this was done some 15yrs ago .

In us using the bowl it has a minute chip on the underside of the bowl .

Still a stunning piece for display
