An intriguing ancient copper/bronze coin, possibly dating back to the 17th18th century, showing clear signs of saltwater corrosion and shipwreck exposure.
The coin is irregularly struck, typical of early hammered or cob-style coins used in trade routes during the age of sail.

While the markings are faint, traces of a central crest or crown motif can be seen on one side, suggesting possible Spanish Colonial, Portuguese, or Dutch trade origin common among coins recovered from maritime routes between Europe, Africa, and Asia.

This coins patina and corrosion strongly indicate long-term marine exposure, making it a unique collectible shipwreck relic and an excellent conversation piece for historical displays or nautical collections.

Coin Details (approximate):

  • Material: Copper or bronze (sea corroded)

  • Estimated Period: 1600s1700s

  • Possible Origin: Spanish Colonial / Trade Coin / Maritime Route Issue

  • Condition: Shipwreck grade identifiable design traces under oxidation

  • Diameter: ~22.5 mm (irregular flan)
