A heavy old white glass container adorned with small flower posies which possibly was used as an ointment jar.  It has a fairly deep cavity inside which could have held a small container of salve or ointment.  It would be too deep to retrieve rings and jewellery easily so I don't think it is a jewellery box.

It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, though the gold trim is rubbed in places.  It measures 10cm in diameter and stands 11cm tall.
