The Olight Gotorch X Extended is a compact mountain-bike light with a separate high-capacity battery pack. The head is small enough for a bar or helmet. The pack rides on the frame and feeds the light through a cable.
It uses a high-performance neutral white LED. Peak output is 2 000 lumens, with a listed throw of 250 metres. The beam is a bright hotspot plus a wide spill, so you can see the trail ahead and the edges of the path.
Modes, output, throw and runtime
Tests are listed at 25 °C with a 10 km/h airflow. Runtime changes with temperature and cooling. High only reaches full output when the battery indicator is at level 4 or above.

There is no strobe and no SOS.
From off, one press starts daytime running mode. Press again to turn it off. A long press from any state starts Low. While the light is on in illumination mode, a single press switches between Low and High. Two or more presses in a row go to High. A long press turns it off. The switch is large enough to use with gloves.
The extended pack is a 4S 4 500 mAh lithium-ion unit: 14.4 V and 64.8 Wh. Charge it on the USB-C port. Accepted input is 5 V / 3 A, 9 V / 2 A or 12 V / 1.5 A. A full charge is listed at about 6.5 hours when the source can supply 18 W. A weaker source takes longer. The same port can discharge at 11.2—16.8 V and 3 A, so the pack can top up a phone, GPS or action camera. The light may flicker when the pack is nearly empty.
The head with stand measures 41 mm × 47 mm × 64 mm and weighs 114 g. The extended pack measures 68.5 mm × 50 mm × 92 mm and weighs 383 g. Drop rating is 1 m. Water resistance is IPX4, so it handles splashes, not submersion. Working temperature is 10 °C to 45 °C. Charge only between 0 °C and 45 °C. Store between 0 °C and 60 °C.
The head uses a GoPro-style interface, so it can sit on the included bar clamp, a helmet mount or a tripod. Thick and thin cushion rings and two silicone straps cover different bar sizes. Zip ties and an Allen key are in the box.
Do not look into the beam. High steps down as the head warms. Keep the cable clear of the wheel and the drivetrain. IPX4 is not for river crossings or pressure washing.
