Hardcovers without jackets. These two cigarette card books are complete with every single card pasted in - which is very rare. The spine of volume 1 has damage and volume 2 has quite a bit of rubbing. Otherwise still good but please see pics for condition.

Wonderful presentation of the 1936 Olympics, held in Berlin and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in glossy black and white photo cards. Includes photos of participants in various events, important dignitaries, history of the games from 1896, diagrams of the Berlin and Garmisch Stadiums and a color presentation of flags of participating nations, posters, stamps, and awards for this event. Also with a photo presentation of the opening of the Games and listing of all three winners in each event, their time and a comparison to past Olympic medal winners. Those last two pages have a summary of all medal winners, 127 large (12" x 9") format pages. Volume 1 has large 33 1/4" x 12 1/8" color foldout map of the Berlin Stadium and the surrounding area. Gilt embossed eagle/Olympic bell on both blue linen covers.
