In fact, with two image-processing engines onboard, the camera is capable of recording 1,920 x 1,080-pixel full-HD movies and 16-megapixel still images simultaneously, which is perfect for occasions when you can't decide which mode to use. Do note that video recording in this setting is limited to 29 minutes or when the clip reaches 4GB. 

Inside the SZ-30MR is a 16-megapixel backlit CMOS sensor with a 24x optical zoom lens that starts from a focal length of 25mm. Its cousin, the SZ-20, features a 12.5x optical zoom lens that starts from 24mm. Both models offer dual-image stabilization modes using a combination of sensor-shift technology and high sensitivity setting, a 3-inch LCD and 3D image capture function.
